NATA ACCREDITATION
The National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) is Australia's national laboratory accreditation authority and the largest such system in the world. NATA accreditation provides a means of determining, recognising and promoting the competence of facilities to perform specific types of testing, measurement, inspection and calibration. NATA verifies our tests and systems. This includes all aspects of the analytical process including sample preservation, sample registration, methodology, instrument calibration and maintenance, data records, calculations and reporting of results.

ELIG
Envirolab Group is an active member of ELIG (Environmental Laboratory Industry Group). David Springer was the 2006 & 2007 Secretary of ELIG and will resume the role of President for 2008 to 2010.

The Environmental Laboratory Industry Group “ELIG” represents commercially and regulatory focused laboratories that are NATA accredited. The collaboration of environmental laboratories was designed to foster an opportunity to present important issues to the market in a united approach. It is the process of presenting strong and well researched issues that have generated group recognition as expert analytical practitioners from the wider community including: clients, legislators, regulators, and between the laboratory members.
Current ELIG members include: Advanced Analytical, ALS, Amdel, Agrisearch Analytical, Envirolab Group, Hill Laboratories, Labmark, MGT, Nalco, NMI, SGS, Sydney Water, and Sydney Analytical with NATA as an observing member.

Envirolab Group have staff who are actively involved with the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI)
The Royal Australian Chemical Institute Incorporated [The RACI Inc], is both the qualifying body in Australia for professional che-mists and a learned society promoting the science and practice of chemistry.
It is concerned with the teaching and practice of chemistry and with the application of chemistry in industry, academia and government authorities.

The Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand (CASANZ) is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization formed to bring together people with an interest in clean air and the mechanics of air pollution. CASANZ encompasses broader environmental management affairs, but with particular reference to air quality and related issues.
